With a powerful, saccharine voice and contagious enthusiasm, Matt Brandon has charmed audiences from L.A. to Washington, D.C. The multi-instrumentalist comes by it honestly having accumulated thousands of hours on stage performing over 225 dates annually since 2013. That work ethic is paying dividends in terms of artistic growth.
“I’ve been the work horse. I’ve been the side man for other artists. I’ve been the creative producer behind the scenes. I’m very grateful for my career thus far and those experiences have been invaluable, but I’m not yet satisfied. I’ve been quietly honing my craft, and now I’m ready to show the world what I can do.”
Those plans include a debut album release. Borrowing the best from rock, pop, country, and dance genres, Matt Brandon’s approach is similar to the eclectic tastes of contemporary audiences. That has certainly been a factor of success in refining his live shows and helping form bonds with a wide demographic. It will be very interesting to see how this translates as an artistic statement.
Matt’s creativity isn’t limited to performing, writing, and producing music in the studio. In the spirit of rocker academics such as Brian May and Tom Scholz, he extends his innovative vision into the realm of science and engineering. Matt was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Mathematics Minor by the University of Kentucky. He is also an accomplished inventor credited with over 40 patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This background has proven useful on the other side of Matt’s career as a studio engineer with one foot each in the disciplines of science and art.
It’s an impressive resume, which is fitting, because Matt prefers to let his work speak for itself. What will it say next?
New album coming soon. Please check back for audio samples upon release.
